Please join us at the 2017 CASPER Workshop being held in Pasadena CA where we’ll present a technical paper and discuss our poster. The paper will describe a design for an innovative ASIC for backend of radio frequency interference (RFI) detection. A key feature of the ASIC is a low-power polyphase filter bank that has sub-bands for channelization of up to 1.6 GHz bandwidth. This ASIC is targeted for broadband microwave radiometers used in a variety of NASA missions. In contrast to existing board-level RFI mitigation solutions, the ASIC is ideally suited for both retrofit to existing space missions and design-in for future missions, due to its easy scalability and flexible programmability.
