Rad-Hard Libraries

Alphacore’s leading-edge analog and standard cell libraries enable high performance, radiation-hardened components with low size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) - all without the need for additional heavy shielding materials.

Rad-Hard Analog Library

Our analog library includes three key components to any mixed-signal system on a chip (SoC) or application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC): a phase locked loop (PLL), an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

Components are designed in GlobalFoundries (GF) 22FDX 22nm fully depleted silicon on insulator (FDSOI) CMOS process. The 22FDX process enables designers to achieve operation for wide range down to cryogenic temperatures, with radiation hardness, enduring total ionizing dose (TID) of 300 krad(Si), immunity to single event latch-up (SEL), and single-event functional interrupt (SEFI).

Rad-Hard Standard Cell Library

Alphacore's radiaton hardened standard cell library is an excellent solution for improving the radiation tolerance of of digital and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs) and Systems-on-Chip (SoC). Our library cell generation approach is to first evaluate the hardness of commercially available libraries, and then augment these libraries with hardened cells where needed. This way we can offer a comprehensive library suitable for complex system designs. The libraries include both standard cells (flip flops) and Input/Output (I/O) circuitry.
