Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) IP

Alphacore offers licensing opportunities for verified DAC IP cores, ideally suited for high performance analog, mixed-signal and RF applications that demand high precision data conversions.  

Alphacore’s  DAC IP includes high sampling rate designs with resolutions up to 12 bits. The used architectures enable the lowest possible power consumption in their sampling rate and resolution ranges.

Alphacore’s PLL IP core offerings include highly tunable, low jitter designs up to 13.5GHz.

For high data bandwidth I/O needs, Alphacore offers CML (Current Mode Logic) I/O buffer IP with data rates up to 28Gb/s per lane.

Alphacore’s SerDes IP, designers can develop technologies that are lightweight, highly efficient and can deliver advanced capabilities for next-generation applications. 

SerDes is a “must” technology to have in any electronic system, or a set of systems, in which high-speed digital data is transferred from one place to another via, for instance, chiplet-to-chiplet, ASIC-to-ASIC, ASIC-to-FPGA or similar interfaces, using interposers, organic substrates, PCB backplanes, copper cables, fiber-optic connections, etc.

Intermediate Frequency (IF) Converter

UDX100

The UDX100 is a highly configurable 2.5-8 GHz IQ frequency modulator and demodulator with up to 4 GHz IF bandwidth. The onboard frequency synthesizer eliminates the need for an external local oscillator (LO) source. External ports for LO source and reference oscillator inputs are accessible from the front panel. USB serial interface is compatible with all common operating systems. Serial control allows for tunable gain of RF-output and RF-input signals, LO frequency selection, and even internal loopback of transmit to receive signal chains for calibration purposes 

Applications include radio telescopes, point-to-point microwave radios, radar and electronic warfare systems.

Should the need arise, we will provide fully custom design services, and create tailored designs for more unique and demanding applications. Our design team is experienced in developing, verifying, and characterizing innovative analog and mixed-signal building blocks for complete product solutions. We employ the latest technology nodes across a wide range of applications, and we specialize in those demanding radiation tolerance.
